Divorced longer than married. I have 1 very precious & handsome son who has lived in Maui, HI for over 8 years, about the same in Oregonn. Windsurfing started his wandering, and I have enjoyed visiting those places. No bio. grandchildren, but do have a couple that I semi adopted. I enjoy the arts & consider myself a closet watercolorist. Love to travel! I have a cat, (what single woman doesn't), only because she was deathly sick & blocking my drive into the garage. I re-entered the workforce in 1977 (necessity). Worked in Midland & Odessa until I joined FDIC in the fall of 1983. Relocated to Jackson, MS, Oklahoma City & finally Dallas in 1987. My division is one that has the dubious task of closing & liquidating banks once they have been declared insolvent. "Planes, trains & automobiles" is a true story for us. Getting to some of the remote locations was usually the major hurdle. On the other side, Hawaii was not bad! My plans are to work through 2005 & retired to Odessa, hopefully with enough money to travel! Updated 09/04/04. |

Richard Dayne Johnson, 1959 graduate of Odessa High. Graduated from Midwestern University, Wichita Falls, Tx. BS/Ed. started teaching in 1965 in Wichita Falls, and moved to New Mexico in 1966. Worked for the Bureau of Indian Affairs 1966-67 and went to work for the Gallup-McKinley County Schools, Gallup, NM, in 1967. Left NM in 1975 to become asst. pr. at Yukon Jr. Hi.(grades 7-9) Garth Brooks was in the 7th grade in our school that year. The next year I became the principal of the new Independence Middle School (grades 7-8) in Yukon. Returned to Gallup-McKinley County Schools, Gallup, NM, as a principal in 1983 and served until 1986, when I became the Director of Personnel for our District, and still serve in that capacity 14 years later = 35 yrs. in education. Our district covers 5,000 sq mi of NW New Mexico and our 2,000 employees serve 14,300 students in 32 schools; 74% Navajo,13% Hispanic, 12% Anglo, 1% other. I have been married to Kathy Mitchell Johnson(Colo.) for the past 21 years and have three children from my previous marriage which lasted 18 yrs. Falecia 39, Rhonda 33, Steve 31. We have 6 grandchildren, 5 boys and one blue eyed princess . They all live in Yukon and Moore, Oklahoma. Kathy and I love the mountains and do a lot of traveling, camping, and photography. I make greeting cards from my photographs and have had a number published on calendars, etc. My passion is fishing, and I do a lot of that in our mountain lakes and the San Juan River. My best is a 25" rainbow trout, but God did not make fish live in ugly places and it is a joy to just be out in the beauty God has created. I wish each of you joy and love. I retired last June from 37 yrs. in education and am traveling, fishing and doing lots of photography. Updated 03/30/03. |

I am married to Alvin M. Otte (OHS class of '57). We have been married since 1961. We have 5 children-4 boys and 1 girl (Marc, Julie, Bill, Paul, and John). The youngest is 21. Our oldest son has 3 children(2 boys and a girl). I have a BS degree in Elementary Education. I have taught 4th grade and Pre-K (4 year olds). I am teaching Pre-K at Godley Elementary in the small town of Godley at the present time. I go by my middle name--- Lou. Updated 09/03/04. |
