Married to Bill M. Gandy for 45 years. One son, Tony Dee and wife Cindy. One grandchild, Brittany and 2 step-granddaughters, Amanda Elsken & Rebecca Elsken. One daughter, Misty Gay Gandy Knoles and husband Chris. Two grand-daughters, Christy Brooke & Linzey Grace. Tony is a manager of a meat market in a grocery store and Misty is a homemaker. Her husband is a sales manager for Russellville Steel Company, in Russellville, AR. After living in West Texas for 13 years & working in the oilfield, we moved to Arkansas where we owned a farm. The children were born in Odessa but we wanted them to be settled in one place for school so we moved to the farm. Our son Tony Dee is married to Cindy & has one daughter, Brittany & two step-children Amanda & Rebecca. Our daughter, Misty Gay Gandy Knoles is married to Chris & has two daughters, Christy Brooke & Linzey Grace. We have one pet, a Manx cat, named Korky. I have been in the poultry business for 30 years with Tyson Foods. I grow broilers. We also have cattle on the farm. Bill retired after 21 years, from Dow Chemical Company. He has managed East Logan County Water for 11 Years. We plan to semi-retire in August of 2003. We enjoy spending time in Branson, MO. and still make occasional trips to West Texas. We still have family there. Two nephews, Roland and Chuck Gandy. We also have 2 sisters-in-law there, Mrs. O.C."Smokey" Gandy and Mrs. Ray Gandy. We attend First Baptist Church in Scranton, AR where Bill serves as a decon and I teach TEENS in Sunday School. I also serve as church treasurer. Updated 04/30/03. | |

 Married Sandie Crawford (OHS class of '59) Children: Glenda (Petty) & Phillip James, with Jordan, 10, & Brayden 4, Glenn, Jr. & Michelle, with Lakin 12, Sydney 9, & Sydnee, 8, Christi (Petty) & Jimmy Saunders with Rhett, 17 & Justin, 16. Hobbies include fishing & woodworking (both very limited). We have a house at Lake Brownwood and get down there often enough to mow and pull weeds! Taught & coached in El Paso, Odessa, Big Spring, Abilene, Howard Payne University, then back to Abilene. Then became a campus administrator for 13 years before becoming a central office administrator for 9 years. Currently in my 2nd year as the Abilene ISD Athletic Director. Wife Sandie worked in the registrar's office at Big Spring for 3 years, then as a campus secretary in Abilene for 4 years, then in the financial aid office at Howard Payne for 2 years, then a campus secretary in Abilene for 5 years before moving to be the registrar at Cooper High School, which she has held for 18 years. First of all, I want to say how relieved I was to discover my name was not on the deceased list. I joined the Navy out of high school, married 3 years later, have one daughter, she is due 11/04. We had horses for 30 years, still have dogs, a boat, His and her Harleys, We both recently got our pilots license and a Cessna 182. We are Christians. We've gone to the same church and in the same house for 36 years. I get tired just looking at all the stuff we're involved in. My Wife, Cherene, graduated from Loma Linda University and I graduated from Mesa Community College. Cherene is a Dental Hygienist and I am recently retired. I have never been to any of the reunions, because I was pretty much a loaner and didn't pal around with anyone. I like people, so I would probrably have a good time if I attended. I am administrative assistant to District Manager for Ace Transportation, Inc., a company based in Lafayette, LA. Our main industry is the hauling of oilfield pipe and materials to rig locations, dock sites for offshore rigs, movement of pipe from yard to yard for re-working, etc. I have been with this company for twelve years. In fact, I was here with another oilfield carrier when this company bought it out. I'm the only thing remaining here, other than the furniture. Everyone is like family - and they all call me "Mom". I re-married Dec.26, 1999 to Don Abbott, and now am raising an eight-year old step daughter. I have three children of my own and seven grandchildren. They are all wonderful, of course. With the new marriage, I gained four more children and five additional grandchildren. I live in a suburb of Houston, TX and my home is on the San Jacinto River. Needless to say, we enjoy a lot of water activities. I still water ski, ride the inner tube, and do a lot of just splashing around in the water. (Just don't last as long as I used to.) I only get to Odessa to check on my mother, who still lives there, and and to see my brothers - one located in Odessa and the other in Midland. My only claim to fame that you would be familiar with is the fact that I used to baby-sit with the former mayor, Mike Atkins, who is my cousin. I enjoy coming back to Houston to tell everyone that I had dinner with the mayor. Doesn't that sound classy? Updated 05/02/01. |

I have been married for 16 years (Once divorced). My wife's name is Betty. I have one son, Stewart, who is charter jet pilot. He is 36, has two wonderful children, Nicholas (8) and Miranda (10). They live in Grand Prairie, Texas. I also have daughter named Stephanie. She is 32, and has a 7 year old daughter, Holly. Holly almost made it into Gifted and Talented this year. She is very bright. Stephanie and her husband, Jim are in Cincinatti, Ohio. Jim is manager of the concessions and gift shops at the NFL football stadium there. My hobbies include Tai Kwon Do, reading (espionage - all of Clancy's novels, two of the most interesting books I have ever read are "The DaVinci Code" and "Charm School"), chess, and playing around on the computer. I have a chess class starting next month, trying to learn the game better. Betty has 4 children, Ann and Jan 45 year old twins, Mike and Karen. Only Karen is married. Karen has two bright daughters, Diana (17) and Tami (16). I am on Social Security Disability from Pennzoil, Co. After rupturing two spinal cord disks, with surgery and bone graphs, my Neurologist said I should no longer work (1990). I joined the Army in 1959 and stayed in for 9 years, as a Medic. I have had the opportunity to be stationed in Germany, 5 1/2 years, TDY to Ethiopia and Panama canal. When I got out I attended a trade school in Bogalusa, La. for a degree in Data Processing. I have been in the computer field since 1968. I have been a computer operator, programmer, programmer/analyst, DBA Analyst and data dictionary analyst. I have since then gotten a BA (double major) in Philosophy and Sociology, minor in English and improved my German greatly. I think of our days of school in Odessa and all of the people I knew. Isn't it amazing that the majority of us turned out OK, and don't we all wish we knew then what we know now! Many names and faces I don't remember any longer and some I will never forget. My buddie Harvey Morton and I are still in touch and see each other 3-4 times a year. My Philosophy keeps my head in the clouds, so my wife says. I am still trying to figure out the why of it all, and unfortunately I have no one to talk it over with. I audited an advanced Ethics class this spring and will audit another philosophy, political, criminal justice or history class this fall. I guess I'll do that until I get too old to get around to the classes. I'm a hopeless dreamer, thinker and learner. Updated 06/23/04. | |

 Well, Lowell & I have moved back to Evergreen, Colorado which we dearly love. We just have the two boys, Michael, who flies for American, and Lang. Lang works in our business with us, married a wonderful girl, Lorie and gave us our only grand child to date, Logan. Logan is the light of our life. We have a Papillion puppy, named Gizmo and that's our family. Lowell & I have been married now for 45 years and hope to have another 45 together. I still enjoy shopping and love to travel. Our business allows us to travel extensively (therefore shopping extensively), and I am known through out our company, Mannatech, as the shopping lady. It's a name I dearly love living up to. We are still in Network Marketing with a company called Mannatech. Mannatech is a research and development company and has discovered and formulated some revolutionary new products that help keep our bodies healthy and youthful. We've now been with them over 11 years, have attained one of the top positions available in the company as Presidential Directors. With Mannatech, we have traveled to the four corners of our country, including Hawaii, which the company takes us to annually for a leadership conference. We've also spent a lot of time in Canada, the Bahamas, on Alaskan cruises. We're always looking for good people in our business, so if you know anyone looking for part time or full time income, let us know. While we have a home in Colorado, we also have a villa back in Texas so we have a place to stay when we return there. Updated 04/04/2005. |

Life has truly been a journey. After graduating from high school and Texas Tech, I moved to Ft. Worth and eventually was transfered back to Odessa. After a two year stay, I moved to Dallas. Over the course of my life I think I have moved back and forth from Dallas to Houston at least four or five times. In 1994 I married and in moved to Massachusetts. But only stayed five months because of the intense winter. I had never seen so much snow that had to be shoveled. My husband and I moved back to Dallas. After three years of marriage he passed away and I have remained in Dallas. My health has been terrific. I am still working and am thankful that I love getting up in the morning and being active. Everyday is a blessing. Most of professional career has been in sales and management. Currently I sell office furniture for a company in Dallas. We primarily sell to the government. Most recently I have just returned from Ft. Stewart, GA where I we are in the process of building and installing a 27 million dollar project. Updated 09/03/04. |
